Why I Use Essential Oils Everyday

ESSENTIAL OILS IN MY DAILY ROUTINE

The Essential Oils of a plant contain a variety of chemical constituents that create PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL EFFECTS in the human body.  Therefore, I chose my oils according to what is taking place physical and emotional in the moment.  What is my body telling me to notice that needs nurturing and/or healing?

For instance, currently I have a cough coming from the bronchial area of my chest so I am applying RC (a Young Living blend of oils created to help give relief from colds, bronchitis, sinusitis, coughs and respiratory congestion) twice a day to the bottoms of my feet…. yes, I said the bottoms of my feet.  You see, Young Living Essential Oils offer far more than a nice smelling moment.  I’m more interested in them aiding me in bringing my body back into BALANCE.

The Foot Reflexology Chart to the right shows the areas on the bottoms of our feet that are related to various organs in our body.  Do you see where the Lungs are indicated?  That’s were I apply the RC essential oil blend.

When I’m feeling my immune system being compromised, I take out my favorite blend of highly antiviral, antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-infectious oils (Young Living Thieves Blend) and apply it to the entire bottoms of my feet with special attention to the toes and chest area.

When the digestive system (stomach, small intestine, colon) is yelling at me I consider using DiGize (a Young Living blend of oils created to help relieve symptoms like indigestion, heartburn, gas and bloating).  When you investigate the individual oils that were chosen for this blend, you can understand why it might be helpful.  For instance, Fennel is used for flatulence and nausea as it promotes digestion and prevents fermentation……who knew?  Ginger has traditionally been used to combat nausea and fermentation.  Peppermint is one of the most highly regarded plants for improving digestion and combating parasites.  And I haven’t even mentioned the other 5 plant oils used in this blend.  There is an art to the choosing and blending of these Essential Oils.

I don’t real have time here to mention all the oils I use for my emotional well being……stay tuned for another post.
